Workplace Surveillance Policy
Essentially every workplace has surveillance these days. Did you know that in some states there are very exact stipulations about what information relating to your surveillance that has to be disclosed to the employees?
Details like:
- Where the data is stored
- How it is accessed
- Who can access it
- When it would be accessed
Are all legislated requirements of disclosure.
For those residing in South Australia the legislation is a little more lenient, but it is good practice to ensure that you are open and covered with a policy to ensure that, should the legislation change and become more stringent, you are already prepared with your internal policies.
Plus - as an employee.... these things are just nice to know!
